Compass
At Epping Primary School we use the Compass School Management system. This software provides an internet portal called “Compass School Manager” for use by teachers, families and office administration.
Compass is a web-based system that is accessible on any modern web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox,
Chrome, Safari) or by using the Compass iOS or Android apps. Search for ‘Compass School Manager’ in the
store.
Seesaw
Seesaw empowers students to document their learning and upload to families to provide students with meaningful learning experiences of the school. Your child's e-portfolio can be seen by the teacher, child and parent/s/carers. Seesaw messages are used for class communication and for reminders.
Website
Our website is an important tool for families and the greater community. Here you will find all aspects of what Epping Primary School has to offer. There are important pages that highlight information ‘about us’, enrollment information, curriculum, wellbeing, community and technology. Get to know our staff and the correct methods of communicating with teachers and leadership staff.
Newsletter
Our school newsletter is published fortnightly, to communicate important information from the school and to share insights into celebrations of student learning. It is an expectation that all parents/carers read the school newsletter. The newsletter is emailed to all families as well as a link being shared on Compass.
Facebook Page
Our facebook page is a snapshot of activities and events, coming up at school. We will post less frequently but this page is also a great resource for families to stay engaged with the school community. Please click the link to join our Facebook community.
Assembly
Assemblies are held at both our Greenbrook and High Street campuses on Fridays afternoons at 2:50pm. Greenbrook assemblies are held on odd weeks (eg. week 1, week 3 etc) and at High St, on even weeks. Assemblies are student-led, planned and performed by our school captains and young leaders. These whole school gatherings provide an opportunity to celebrate student achievements and inform our school community of upcoming events and special announcements. Families are warmly invited to join us.
Parent/Teacher Communication
We encourage communication with staff, in person and via email. Please note that any emails will endeavour to be addressed within 48 hours. If you have a concern that you would like to discuss with a teacher, please organise a meeting time by emailing your child's teacher on Compass via the email teacher link under your child's profile. We ask that you please be understanding of both teachers and students' needs by not disturbing the teacher at bell times.
