The Berry Street Education Model is a four-day course and is the foundational training needed to bring the model into the classroom and to the whole school. Epping Primary School is involved in one whole-day and 2 after school training sessions in 2023 and one whole day and 2 after school training sessions in 2024.
The BerryâŸStreetâŸEducationâŸModel (BSEM) equips schools with practical, classroom-based strategies to increase the engagement of all students, including those with complex, unmet learning needs. It is a holistic approach to education that helps everyone.
The Berry Street Education Model provides proven strategies that are easy for teachers to implement in the classroom. It empowers and equips educators to help all students succeed. The model helps increase the engagement of students with complex, unmet learning needs and successfully improve all students’ self-regulation, relationships, wellbeing, growth, and academic achievement with pedagogical strategies that incorporate trauma-informed teaching, positive education, and wellbeing practices.
